5 Bloggers Edit 1 Photo

I can finally share with you the exciting project I've been working on for the past few months!

Being an avid viewer of Jessica Kobeissi's 4 Photograhers Shoot The Same Model series on Youtube (you should check out her Youtube channel and Instagram, you won't regret it) I was inspired to do something similar with what I'm passionate about - Instagram!

In order to do this, I enlisted the help of some of my favourite Instagram bloggers to edit photos that I took. After having delved into the world of travel Instagram-ing (@thefootprintfiles), I discovered how much time and effort it takes to edit photos and to curate a consistent feed so why not celebrate how unique each blogger's editing style is?

First let me introduce you to the bloggers I collaborated with; I also asked them a few questions so I hope you enjoy getting to know them a bit more :

Elsa from @_travelwithelsa_ - I might be a little biased here but I love how she gives tips for the countries she's visited and I think you'll love all the new content that she's putting out.

Why you travel
"I love to travel because it gives me the opportunity to experience different cultures and lifestyles first hand and see how people's day-to-day lives vary across the globe. Those who know me personally will know about my love for food and I feel like by travelling abroad I can taste a variety of authentic cuisines. With increasing media coverage of places around the world we often make assumptions about a city or country prior to visiting, but by travelling it has allowed me to have my own impressions of the place."

Describe your editing style
"I wouldn't say that I have a so-called "editing style" that I stick to but I do like to enhance my photos so that it's slightly darker and tinted a tad grey (if that makes sense aha!)"

-

Jasmine from @jasminealley - this girl's Texas charm really comes through her photos which always make me happy when they pop up in my feed and I'm sure you'll smile when you see them too !

Why you travel
"I travel because it is important to see the world. You learn so much about yourself and about others by experiencing how life is lived in other places. And you make truly amazing friends along the way!
There are also so many sights to see that take your breath away. My faith is very important to me and it brings so much joy to my soul seeing the beauty that God has created around our planet."

Describe your editing style
"I like using low highlights and low shadows with with vibrant colors and soft whites"

-

Adrienne from @stayawildchild - she really has some of the best vibes in the IG community and her captions are so relatable and down to earth, not to mention her photography is stunning!

Why you travel
"I travel because it gives me emotions people and things can't give."

Describe your editing style
"My photographs speak my emotions. I don't have a defined style, I don't consider myself a lifestyle photographer, street photographer or anything in that matter but truly just making others feel. You don't know me, and I don't know you and we could be 10000 miles away, but if I could make you feel something through my photographs then darlin' that's what I was destined to do."

-

Haley from @haleyblackall - she does architecture shots like nobody else and I always think her photos are something out of the 70's which feels so cozy!

Why you travel
"I travel to expand my mind and my heart. It's so easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day and not stop to think 'am I really happy? Am I taking full advantage of this short and precious life of mine?' And I always want my answer to be yes. Travel is one of those things that can make you feel excited, proud, happy, frustrated, and even scared. But it will never ever make me feel regret."

Describe your editing style
"I always want to ensure I'm really capturing the essence of a photograph. Is that person feeling serenity, exhilaration or having an intimate thought? And then try to create a mood around it. None of that cookie-cutter filter stuff. If it's scenery or architecture, I want to make sure it still feels organic, untouched, yet appreciated."

-

Avanti from @itsmeavanti - her feed is so bright it's impossible to feel anything but joy looking at her photography!

Why you travel
"I love to travel because it reminds me how big the world really is. Each and every one of us have our own story and perspective. I love connecting with and meeting new people, but most of all I love learning about and experiencing different cultures. I find so much inspiration from traveling around the world and feel that it really enhances my creativity and well-being."

Describe your editing style
"My editing style is very crisp, clean, and bright. Sometimes I like the look of a colorful photo and other times I like to keep the colors muted and neutral."
